List pages in Nav 2017 – a new look and feel

TharangaC has written an interesting posting about one of Nav 2017’s new features. Maybe not really a new process or technical feature. It’s more a Wow!

This web client feature is the new optional style of list pages . It’s possible to show the items in a list like in a catalogue, has more look and feel of a phone/tablet’s convenient app. Seems that the webclient gets more cool features than the windows client.

The next Nav Editions

News from the WPC: The cloud version of Nav – Project Madeira – will be edited in the near future as part of Microsoft’s Cloud based Business Solution Office “Dynamics 365”. The new name is Dynamics 365 – Business Edition. It’s targeted for the SMB market (10 – 250 Employees) and contains the Nav financial module and in the near future also the Sales & Marketing Module.

For bigger companies there will be Dynamics 365 – Enterprise Edition (based on AX).

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 roadmap …

Within Dynamics 365 Nav and AX are “only” tools/modules/apps useable for/with new features: Flow, PowerApps, …

And there will be an OnPremise Nav 2017 ! So be prepared for the next Upgrade round … or change to Dynamics 365, add new functionality only by developing extensions. That will be the future.
